Love this spot! Hidden gem in Los Angeles! Anytime I'm in LA and want Chinese this is my go to.

It was my first time here. I came when they opened on a Saturday and there were already people waiting. The restaurant is clean with simple decor though a bit dated. The service was efficient and friendly enough. You can tell they cater mostly to tourists as there were no chopsticks and aside from the staff I was the only Asian lol. (I did ask for chopsticks and hot sauce). We ordered the steamed dumplings which were really really good. Came out hot and served with a soy vinegar ginger sauce. The schezuan (orange) chicken had good flavor but it was mostly breading. I didn't feel much chicken especially since the pieces are chopped fairly small. The fried rice was pretty good and not too greasy. I really like the pan fried noodles but don't recommend the beef. It was chewy. Would have been better if it was shredded perhaps. Overall pretty good Chinese American food.

This place is fantastic. We ordered Sizzling Rice Soup, Slippery Shrimp, Fried Pork Chops, Lo Mein, mixed Fried Rice, and String Beans. Food was unbelievable and so was the service. Can't wait to come back. Park in a lot a few blocks away as you'll need a walk after eating so much.

Went there twice this year with family when in town and both times I couldn't rave more about the service. They were able to accommodate 14 of us; 7 kids and 7 adults. Food did not disappoint - the most delicious and what I would consider authentic food I had in LA. Very clean interior and very quick to get new people seated. Must try!

This place is incredible! By far the best Chinese food I've ever had! The wait was quite a bit on an early Sunday. We sat down about 25 mins after getting on the wait list. Ordered about 5 different things on the menu. Each dish was so authentic and perfect. The service is very fast, many different waiters with incredible service. Price is good too. Not crazy expensive. Many menu options. Parking was a little hard to find though. This place is amazing!

If you like Americanized Chinese food, this is your place!! Globalization might be the reason but there's more authentic cuisines from all over the world these days. But if you grew up or somehow acquired the taste of good old Chinatown Kung Pao chicken or Beef broccoli, there aren't that many decent restaurants in this town that serve them at a great price now. Yang Chow is one of the few that I've recommended to friends visiting Chinatown and wanted that authentic Chinatown style food. And they always liked it. Fast service of course - it's a good old trade mark of well-run Chinese restaurants so this one is no exception. Small rooms and tables are pretty close together... but that is the old Chinatown ambiance. GREAT PORTION size - we ordered General Tseng's Chicken (中文名: 國藩雞 - 沒聽過吧?! 跟左宗堂雞蠻像的!), Snow peas with 3 Flavors (雪豆三鮮 - 有牛肉,蝦, 和新鮮甘貝喔)and a large size Fish Porridge Soup (魚片湯)- I think it can feed 4 people. Parking in Chinatown is never easy but they have valet parking right next to their place. If you miss it, there's a large lot a few stores down on the same size of Broadway and there you can pay $6 for 90 minutes.

Yang Chow never disappoints! The food is always top-notch, and the service is just as excellent. Their signature Slippery Shrimp is a must-try--crispy, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. Every dish is well-seasoned, fresh, and consistently delicious. The staff is attentive and friendly, making sure everything arrives promptly and just as ordered. Even when the place is busy, they manage to keep things running smoothly. The ambiance is casual. No matter how many times I visit, Yang Chow continues to deliver a five-star experience. Highly recommend!

Yang Chow is definitely worth the hype! There was a long line outside when we arrived, but my party of two was seated within minutes after adding our name to the waiting list. We ordered the slippery shrimp and a vegetable dish with asparagus and beans, and both were absolutely delicious. The portions were very generous, and the flavors were spot on--highly recommend! The service was impressively fast, and the staff was super attentive despite how busy they were. Very clean as well. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I really hope they expand in the future. This is a spot I'll definitely hope to return to on my next visit to LA!

This place is homey and your typical Chinese no frills no fuss restaurant. We got the slippery shrimp, string beans, pork and shrimp fried rice, and beef lo mein. People have been describing the shrimp as orange chicken but shrimp. But I feel like the shrimp is deep fried like honey walnut with a cornstarch batter and a with sweet and sour sauce. Not quite like orange chicken flavor but not quite like sweet and sour. It was bomb tho could use some spice. But still bomb. I like how the sauce didn't make yeah shrimp soggy too. I also really liked the fried rice. Rice was soft and flavorful and the way the pork was cooked was so delicious. We could've done without the lo mein. A little bland. But overall everything was tasty
